The East Side (E/S) Elm Street Piru are an African-American street gang whose roots can be traced back to the eastern section of Los Santos. This gang was started by an old O.G. Bartender in 1984 and has the distinction of being one of the largest Piru sets of the city. The Elm Street Pirus were once a clique who was mainly into the narcotic business, but soon they became their own gang set. As with most other Blood sets under the Piru card, Elm Street Pirus wear burgundy as their color. They are also known to wear red to show their affiliation to the Bloods and brown to symbolize the bark of an Elm tree. Members of this gang claim “East Side” to show that they're a Piru set from the dangerous part of town. They are also known to use the term “356” to show their affiliation because "356" is the numeric dial “Elm” on a touch dial phone.
They are well known for their ruthless lifestyle and violent ways, as the other bloods/pirus their main target is with the Crips(including all of the sets from Los Santos). The vicious Piru members of the gang are often spotted hanging around the corners of Elm Street with liquor bottles in their hands, or possessing illegam firearms, the bigger(more respected) members have red bandanas hanging out their back left pockets representing their hood and the East Side. Elm Street is also famous for having a horror movie called "A nightmare on elm street", aswell as having gang members being a part of the "Bangin On Wax" album from 1993, produced by Dangerous Records. The newcomers of Elm Street Piru are mainly selling narcotics for their bigger homies, getting a procent from the gained loot afterwards. Due to the heavy drug-business area, the Los Santos Police Department are often spotted around the area of Elm Street, scanning for any suspected indivuduals.
